10-0 canada

Nope.

France is an experienced team and play disciplined defence. Eventually our forecheck and wave after wave attack will break them, but it will be a much closer game than that. We should wear them into submission by the 3rd.

Use this game to establish our lines for the game against Finland. No matter the result against France, the game against the Finns determines the group.

I'm excited to see some of the line changes up front. Looks like the 1st forward line will be Hall-McDavid-Perry if they stick with the practice lines. This could be a very tough first line for any team to deal with. That's an Olympic calibre line, but let's wait and see. I'm tempering expectations from here on out.

4-1 for Canada.

Plus Huet, while older, is no slouch either.

I'd like to see Hutton play a little more only because I'd prefer him over Dumba as the 7th D in critical games...if he can in fact handle it... I've seen enough of Dumba in a Team Canada jersey that I'm not particularly keen on seeing any more until he's at least 28 and has 6 years of NHL experience behind him....and even then it will only be for this lousy tournament not a real Team Canada best on best tournament.

Desrosiers, Meunier and Y. Treille has looked very old and tired this tournament. Time for Hockey France to retire them to next year's championship in France/Germany:shakehead

I do agree with Desrosiers who is very slow on the ice now.
He also did not look good on the PP which was one of his strength (especially scoring important goals)

However Meunier is still a very good captain for young players and still represents well the french spirit. He always battles hard even if he has less impact on the game.

For Y. Treille his size in front of the net in PP can be useful and he can sometimes provides some physical play.

After 2017, they all be retired anyway. :)

France is the new Switzerland. Always giving us a tough time.

but I like that period much more than the past 3 games. skating and passing well.

Still no goals from Connor. He's this year's Tyler Seguin... only the opposite.

For those who have forgotten. last year in 10 games Seguin scored 9 goals 0 assists.

If McDavid sets up 3 or 4 goals per game but scores 0 goals in what's left of this tournament, I'll be thrilled with that production. Have at it, Connor.

Ceci leads the team in ice time and corsi for D men, makes sense he is the one demoted to the third pair after adding Ellis.

Gotta say I love the way the Canada PP teams have been run. Who's system would that be?
