Went to watch and my pvr had network error and didn't record anything.

Anyone wanna give a quick run down of first 2 periods? Don't wanna read 18 pages lol

5 attacker PP isn't working anymore, decent in the 1st but Canada has figured it out totally by now, it just looks sloppy, probably best to give more time to the 2nd PP in the 3rd

PP over 50% not working? Getting Pokka put only made it better. It doesn't matter if they figure it out there is so much skill Granny Aho TT Rants.

Happy with Eeli. Flying over the sea, no time to suffer even from jet lag, Watched games from drafters a month or so, and immediately ready when the duty calls.

Ok, Finland survived period without goal. I would like to see the last penalty against Ekblad in relay. German commentator said that Savinainen falls very easily.
But Finland plays still well so far and Säteri shows a strong performance in my opinion, what do you think?

Nobody knows for sure; possibly injury. But he will be starting his $56M, 8 year contract at the start of next season.
7 mill a year for that.. Yikes.
He's gotta be a serviceable #1 though. Nobody just loses their ability to play hockey all of the sudden, he'll bounce back.

Really weird game. Finnish D is sloppy as f***. Its amazing Canada hasnt scored on all thoose fowls. Canada hasnt gotten many really good chances though. Without McBlow the game would be 1-1...

The game has mostly been called by the book. Only in hockey you see complaints about going by the rules.

Maybe.

The book is subjective at best, and you gives you a different book than Canada has used their whole lives. Even your Player that play in NA have lifetimes more experience playing under international ice scrutiny.

With NA refs it would be Finland that is playing "undisciplined", but with these refs, it is us that looks undisciplined. In NA a lot of the "slashback" kind of things the finns do on every play are auto penalties, but here small initiating slashes are more likely to be called by far.

Well, we have quite a challenge ahead of us in the third.

taking nothing away fro this finnish team as I have been mostly impressed with their compete and play today and they deserve to be ahead but this has been a frustrating game from a Canadian fans point of view in terms of deflections always going a little bit wide , open nets missed, etc.

It just seems like one of those games where all the breaks go for the opposition.

If we lose I would like to play this team again

We were really lucky that Canada didn't capitalize last round. We were seeing stars for a while.

I think the first and third goals were on him. The only reason why Rantanen scored that third goal is because McElhinney blew a tire in the crease...
How was the 1st goal on him? Vlasic had a brutal giveaway and them Schenn tipped it into his own net
