Excited to see how much better Laine will be than Matthews after this matchup.

This is going to be an exciting, even match. Finland has won exactly 50% of the previous games and Hungary the rest - no ties so far.

And the funny is that, unlike one might expect, the two games these countries have played against each other were not played in the 1930's. They were both played in 2009. :)

I think banks would actually permit you a loan for sports betting as an investment loan. Fast few % profit if you bet Finland.

Nothing against Hungary though, I like the country, respect :yo:

I'd advise Hungary to stay out of the penalty box... Laine can win the tournament goal scoring race in this game if the Magyars run into penalty trouble.

No changes to Finland's forward lines, it seems. So Kivistö to defense and Saros in goal are the adjustments.

The odds are bad for that. They have three Istvans in the line-up. That's Hungarian for Teppo. And Teppo was drafted to Winnipeg in 1986 draft.

I badly fear we have lost this game.

This game should really be no problem for Finland anything else than a clear win would be a shame, though I respect Hungary but their are really at least one level worse than Finland.

Yes Saros is starter and Bäckström backup.
+ Tommi Kivistö plays today... maybe with Anssi Salmela

Just a note guys, these are projected lineups based on each team's previous game - we'll update as the lines are announced closer to the actual game time.

I predict this is the game where they try to get some goals to Pulkkinen so he is playing 2 min per PP and Laine 0. Laine's total playing time 3.45 min.

Remember, despite the final score, Hungary hung in there with Canada, who are way better than Finland (IMO anyway), in the first period, so an upset is likely if they don't take Hungary seriously. Some Canadian players said part of it was because the crowd was so distracting so something to watch.

Yeah, we're aware of that, thanks. I know how Systemfel usually handles these things. So those were the news, not a harp against the opening post.

Tell that to Dudas. He is an idiot...always has been.

Anyway, I have a bad feeling about this game.

First of all, I do not mean this as an insult in the least bit. I'm happy to see Hungary in the World champs. But when do you have a good feeling about a game, because in all honesty you are always outmatched on paper?

Pretty sure bad feeling means absolute embarrassment. Good feeling means losing but with dignity lol.

Something like this yes.
Finland won't be gentle, not for a minute. Actually they have the same attitude like our team, except they have some serious skill and talent to go with it.
