For Croatia there is no calculation now but this tournament has similar vibes to Brazil 2014, kind of a blend of a tired veteran core who doesn’t have the energy and some decent youngsters but not as good as the previous gen

Dalic needs to not start Brozovic (looking like the Saudi league did him in), Perisic (36 and coming off an ACL injury) and maybe even Modric (just put him in as an impact sub).

It probably comes down to how the next game goes for Italy as well. If they win, the Italians are likely to rest some of their key players for the final round-robin game. If not...
