This game is at 3 PM Eastern. I used to post on this forum where you could do this thing with Youtube videos, where you'd autoplay them and force everyone to listen to the audio while they read the thread. I was thinking of forcing people on the first page to listen to this:

Anyway, this isn't an easy matchup for a host at all. Guess what? It's supposed to rain again. While not easy, there's not a lot of goals in Bosnia's squad, only one player in the entire squad has scored more than 4 NT goals (Dzeko). Canada has some injuries but I don't think they'll stop them from coming out of here with three points. If you can't score you can't win, and if your best player and only guy who can score goals is a 40 year old Dzeko, that's not good.

Bosnia has some fun players and there are only like 3 Canadians fully fit but I think the energy gives Canada enough to power through. 1-0 win, but questions will be asked

Was really hoping for Italy to pull through because Canada's high press attacking style would have given the Italians massive fits. Bosnia has a really disciplined back 4 (Dedic, Katic and Kolasinac are really good) and they can be really efficient in their attack.

Canada needs to be better in the final third. Tajon needs to do better than to blindly deliver balls into the box and J. David actually has to do something for once.

I have zero faith in our back line this tournament and feel our success hinges on the ability to score.

Dubioza Kolektiv are one my favourite bands, with a killer live show, and I´ve been around for their evolution, saw them three times, they first they played a free show in a park in a smaller town next to Barcelona, then a few years later opened for Manu Chao in Barcelona, and finally they were able to book Apolo, Barcelona´s most famous concert venue (or at least my favourite). They´re close to the punk scene here so they come over every couple of years, also recorded songs with local artists like La Pegatina or Manu Chao.

Their song USA skyrocketed in popularity after Bosnia´s qualifying to the WC, and it´s actually a satirical song about the reality of the "American Dream" for many immigrants:

"I hoped I'd find what I need and be free like a bird
Now we pushed in a ghetto like a sheep in a herd
All the promises I heard, became empty words
Completely disconnected from the rest of the world
The grass is never greener in neighbour's courtyard
I want to start all over, return to no man's land
Send greetings to your leader, don't want your green card
I want to fly back like a rocket to the Balkans"

The half season Katic played for Plymouth Argyle will stay with me til the day I die

Hard not to feel like Canada thinks they're the favourites here and I'm not really sure they are, but glad it's on at a Euro-friendly time and looking forward to watching. Would be nice to see a first World Cup win, or at least first World Cup point.
