Russians underperforming hardcore - they looked twice stronger against the Swedes. Don't know what's going on here.

Russia smart. Russia let Czechs win. Face USA in QF. Eliminate them to ensure USA don't medal. Then Russia face Sweden in semis, eliminate them to ensure Sweden don't win gold. Keep tougher Czech team around to face Canada in semis, Canada lose to Czechs. Then Russia can beat Czechs in final. Smart Russia.
Please don't send the Swiss to relegation side Russia
Russia isn't purposely losing this game, Czechs look very good.
If Russia loses this, they should be ashamed. They have so much skill, they just have to play better than that.
I think it's psychological for the Russians. They like playing the 'big guns' - Sweden, US, Finland and Canada - I get the sense than when they're up against other teams, they underperform. They didn't against the Swiss because of Fiala, imo.

we look as always, not good. there're juse too many things going on around them on the ice to make more than two passes in a row, poor sods. czechs are not very good either, but they are the better team here, no doubt
well, Russia did look good vs. Switzerland and Sweden. They need to get their s*** together in a major way for the 2nd period.

It may be that the Swedish 'system' is well-adapted against a Russian-type team. The overall results of both teams internationally are comparable.
I don't think so, I think it's the Russians not playing as good as they can. But whatever, we'll see as the game progresses.

I guess Russia is now at a point where being comparable to Sweden is sufficient for their contentment.
No dude, Russia always wants to be no. 1 in every tournament. Anything less is disappointing for the fans.
the Russians are having a hard time setting up quality chances in the offensive zone. The Czech defense is doing a very good job covering their players.
