I have trouble being even a little optimistic against Sweden...they have an annoying tendency to never underestimate us..

3 Jensen's and 2 Lauridsen's on Denmark lol

and Jesper Jensen is even out because of injury (So only Jesper "B" Jensen, Nicholas B. Jensen and Nicklas Jensen), so we could have 4 if they were all fit.
None of them are related.

We could have 3 Nielsen's (Frans is not with the team since he is playing for Islanders, but his brother Simon is backup goalie; and Daniel Nielsen is in defense, no relation to the other two).

We could have 2 Bødker's (Mikkel Bødker is not participating, but his brother Mads is).
Both Lauridsen's (Oliver & Markus) are brothers.
Morten H. Poulsen is with the team, but his brother Anders H. Poulsen was also injured.
Patrick Bjørkstrand is with the team (but not little-brother Oliver that plays AHL playoffs)
We have two unrelated Hansen's, though (Jannik and Mathias Bau).

Brothers of Lars Eller, Nikolaj Ehlers, Stefan Lassen and Nicklas Jensen not good enough for the team.

So Denmark is very much a family business and a lot of common surnames

With the way Swedes played against even our depleted roster i cant imaginr this being easy for sweden, danish upset is likely.

I think it's debatable whether even two players from this Swedish roster would make their A team. Not exactly an excuse.

It's never considered an excuse for Canada by the European fans here so I don't see why it should be for Sweden.

Comes with the territory of being one of the big boys!!

They are supposed to beat Denmark, period.

Not sure which two players would have a sure spot on an A-team.

Outsiders might be Wennberg, Backlund, Nyqvist or Larsson.

But they are just maybe's as there are others who are fighting for the same spots. Especially on defence where we're stacked.

And to the other poster, it wasn't meant as an excuse, just frustration over all the rejections.
