He is useless, he literally in every championships, I don't know what so good about him  but the coach seems to be like him very much :shakehead

Grönborg is much worse. Rönnberg, Wallson and Hallam is the best swedish coaches right now, and it should have been one of them.

Four defending swedes and one russian, and all swedes look at the puck and forget about the russian who scores or has a major chance to score ...

This happens again and again during the match and the coaching staff does nothing about it... Awful coaching...

And MÃ¥rts picked inferiour SHL players over KHL players for the tournament ...

I'm also glad he is leaving ....

Sweden wasn't that bad. IT was their C team against Russia's A-minus team. 4-1 is okay

i dont know how to grade them but id followed the Swedish team since ages, this is the worst team of the century.

fransson, ritola, nygren, fantenberg, sjogren, normann, rosen and etc ? are you kidding me ?

Good job, Team Russia! Very good 1st and 2nd periods, probably the best periods they've played in the entire tournament so far. Sat back in the 3rd which isn't good, but got the win and conceded only a goal.

Sweden almost outshot Russia, and it means the game was very tight according to some peoples on these boards.

Russian play by play guy with the most idiotic quote of the evening :

"Swedes are taught from the birth that they are the best at everything in hockey and when they get matched against other skilled teams , they start to struggle"

Gotta love stats watchers! Just a few seasons ago a guy was moaning about a goaltender and I asked him if he had actually seen the game. He replied that he hadn't but he didn't have to since he had seen the shot chart...

The 1st two periods were basically Russia doing what they wanted to, in the 3rd the Swedish team picked it up and Russia sat back a little. The Swedes were getting many shots in from tight angles.

Who said that? Were you watching the MatchTV airing? Well, sports commentators make silly comments like that all over the world, I think.

I believe it was the 1st Channel. And yes, listening about "characterless Swedes" was pretty awkward.

I also noticed this. These commenters on channel 1 are old post-soviet farts. Unprofessional. One of them had interviewed Orlov and called him Lubimov. How is it ever possible?

Well, when I look @ the 4-0 Finland, Canada, I would even prefer to play against Canada in the semi final.

We have a tougher opponent than Finland in 1/4
And then, we would have a tougher opponent than Canada in 1/2
