I didn't check Kakkos icetime but they should let him play more. Why they are third line to ice?
He played the most last game at just under 20. Only 14 minutes tonight but they have a game tomorrow so they evened everyones ice time out.

We (Finland) are bad even when we are good.

That's why the Finland national anthem is song over unsong heroes like the giants like Anttila and compadres.

But bye, bye Denmark, bye bye and nice and steady play, but even more nice and steady play by Finland.

Jukka Jalonen - and do I bow to him Finland!

Sweet Yesus! ... The Man.

Even if its so far so good ... so what ... for Finland and Kaapo Kakko always rule the game.
Jukka Jalonen the King Kong of this Finland squad. No more and no less.

Even the Sweden commentators were forced on Sweden telly SVT like Mikael Renberg and he's no dear friend of Finns, remember!

Unbelievable kid, Kaapo Kakko!

We are Finland - who are you?

General manager Shero said yesterday that they can’t imagine nobody else than Hughes...

Shero should probably open up the TV by now or at least use the internet for a bit. They are close, Kakko being the better player but Hughes nationality and position is closing the gap. Either way it's a win win situation for Kakko about where he lands in.

If the other kid goes 0+0 after all the games played so far and gets ragdolled out there due to his physique and other kid goes 6+1 and already looks like a NHL superstar ragdolling Ryan Suters and the likes, if I was a GM that would make me 'imagine picking somebody else'.

Kakko is the new hockey genius, absolutely terrifying player, a prodigious youngster ready to dominate the hockey world. He excels in everything: Speed, stability, strong arms, skillful stick, shot, vision, quick and right decision making. And of course he is confident, aware of all his abilities. The important thing: He excels when playing the high pace hockey. In fact, he dominates the game at this tournament much more than he did in the Finnish league. The faster game, the better Kakko. Considering this: We may have the phenomenon of the upcoming seasons just here. Cannot find enough words, he is simply astonishing.

At first this looked so overblown it looked like a parody, but upon double checking everything's correct so it's tough to argue any point.

Most years it's mostly only media that try to create hype around #1 pick and show it isn't clear and one guy isn't clearly above the rest but this one is real Hall vs. Seguin year. I legitimately don't know who will be the better player in 10 years. Whoever has #2 pick (so it happens it's NJ) can be very, very happy. Freaking thrilled.

I just saw the Kakko's goal and wth I'm amazed. Totally GOAT. I can't imagine to pick Jersey somebody else... But is he a team player? Now he looked a bit dissapointed when he realized that Pesonen scored the goal and not him...
Lol, he made sure that they knew Pesonen got it.

Meh, Renberg has been praising and raving over this Finnish team since the Carlson Hockey Games. He comes from Norrbotten, a region that basically has more in common with northern Finland than southern Sweden.

There's no question the Finnish team is better than the sum of its parts. It will be interesting to see what kind of damage it can do once the QFs start.
