I did. For some reason Masalskis forgets he's not Hasek when he plays against Switzerland ;)

Well, these are the last 5 Masalskis games against Swiss:

35/36, 32/33, 38/39, 28/30, 38/39. A grand total SVS of 96,6% :)

So you wanna ride the statistical anomaly... Quite risky as we all know that over time stats even out... Expect Masalskis to let in 5 of the first 3 shots... to clear up that case:teach:;)

Seriously none of the 2 teams can afford to lose all 3 points today... Even if Latvia has played the toughest opponents already.

He's mentioning the stats to show why Masalskis is a rational GK choice vs SUI, I saw no claim that we will win due to Edgar's superiority vs SUI in past :)

You got me there...:handclap:

Of course we Swiss are a bit nervous about Edgars... Were it Elvis, we at least could have threaten him to take some kind of revenge, once he comes back to Lugano.:D

:D

Just to add a comment w regards to Masalskis streak vs SUI. When these type of things happen, there are always two ways to look at it:

* This is a fluke, and longer it lasts, bigger the odds that it will come crumbling down in the next game
* The sample size is growing, strengthening the theory that this is simply Masalskis baseline performance vs SUI, so he will continue to dominate :D

Let's see how this eve pans out for Edgars and Team Latvia ;)

Yeah, looks like, Marti is registered therefore no more spots are available.

Edit: Lineup says: Marti with Weber, Grossmann and Schneeberger a 4th pairing. Martschini and Haas scratched.

I hope is Josi that told Fischer that he was not coming anyway and not some kind of invention of our sunburnt coach.

That's quite a surprise to be honest, especially the timing.
So, no Haas again.

Yup, Swiss is most certainly going to improve their PK % a lot today. :D

the swiss are much better until now, i expect that, because they are more skilled, but not after a weak tournament so far!
