Kazakstan did make it hard for russia, so shall not underestimate them, but sure we shall win it.

The patriotic first line of Boyd-Bochenski-Dawes. Hockeys answer to Qatars handball team :help:

Not a dig directly at you, but to all who act offended by these 3 NA players on Kazakh roster. Where were your concerns, when Germany every year have couple of random Tripp's, Boyles and Zepp's on their roster? This hardly is an anomaly on WC stage. Italy used to be real equivalent of Qatar's hanball team.

They're not random, Tripp and Zepp do have German parents (Zepp) and grandparents (Tripp) and therefore own a German citizenship. Same for Macek, whose mother is German. I don't know about Boyle though.

And unlike Boyd, Bochenski and Daws for Kazakhstan, these players don't form our top line. :sarcasm:

As good as random knowing how many millions of Germans immigrated to NA in past centuries, almost every family tree can find some ties with Germany. All three new Kazakhs have spent more time in Kazakhstan than all your examples before they debuted for Kazakhstan so that kinda counts for something. Also saying that your acquisitions are worse players, doesn't make it any different or better. And I have to state that I picked Germany just as random example, no bad feelings towards you guys.

Just for the record I as well hate seeing all three on Kazakhstan's roster.

These players doesn't have any roots or bonds to Kazakhstan, except playing for a kazakian club for a couple of seasons, i'm all for international depth but this is far from how it should be done. At least those players who represent Italy or Germany either have parents/grandparents from resp. country, and that being said, i'm not really okay with that either.

Zepp and Macek have german parents. Them playing for Germany is no bigger deal than if (for example) Philip Samuelsson would decide to represent Team Sweden instead of Team USA. Tripp's german grandparents also didn't live "centuries" back.

As for the bolded part, Team Germany would have survived just as well without their "North Americans". Meanwhile, I bet Kazakhstan's hockey federation payed good money to get Bochenski, Dawes and Boyd playing for them, trying to buy themselves into the top division.

Therefor I am happy Norway beat them and I hope Sweden does it too in a big way. Kazakstan shouldn't stay in the top division at the expense of Denmark, Norway, Latvia or Switzerland.

Sure, they aren't violating any rules. But the current rules needs changing.

Hm, Kazakhstan is good enough to advance to Elite Division without these imports. They have shown this many times. But it is true that it will be extremely hard to stay in TOP 16 even with Boyd, Dawes, Bochenski. Without them probably mission impossible.

But yes, I am also quite sad when I see that this is actually happening. Same story is with Hungary (which is rarely mentioned even though they have even more imports than Kazakhs): Dudas, Sagert, Wehrs, Banham, Sarauer.

First game i tune into this year. Nice roster. Jimme Ericsson 1st line lol. And Omark over Nyqvist? ok

I understand your anger, but they are not the only one (Belarus and Hungary among Elite teams)...not that this is then a good reason to play with imports, but still.

Yes and Belarus is equally stupid for doing so and i am rooting against them because of it.
