The same can be said about Gusev for Russia. But it looks like he isn't going to play as well.

He's a big addition for sure, but he's much closer to Krejci than he is Pastrnak who is a game-changer for the Czechs. I'd much rather want Kovalchuk if I was Russian.

Better goalscoring vs. better playmaking. Not too confident in Russia's goalscoring against other top teams, which is why I'd want Kovalchuk.

They arrived at the airport 8:45 this morning but apparently neither of them managed to sleep on the plane. Took part in a half-hour skate around noon, but I'd say it's more likely they'll be too tired to play - if they did play they probably wouldn't be at full strength. It'll be up to them after an afternoon nap

I'd be shocked if the Czechs don't score, 0 GA in 3 games doesn't matter if it was against teams like Austria, France, & Belarus(neither of which scored against Sweden, but the Czechs did).

I think this will be a much closer game for Team Russia than their first three. Usually the Czechs are an uncomfortable team for Russia to play against. I think something like 3-2 Russia, we'll see.

Agree! Apart from few exceptions (Voracek, Hertl, Palat) this is as deep as it gets offensively for us
