Denmark has nothing to play for aside from pride, and to see how they stack up against the States. They're not gonna hand the game to the Americans, but as soon as things start to go south I expect their main focus to be on conserving energy, avoiding injuries, and preparing for a QF meeting with Russia (most likely).

USA will play loser of Fin vs Czech and Canada gets the winner in the QF .

Unless Denmark beats USA and then it's opposite

Agreed.

...and given the US are on a roll and will want to keep up their momentum this could get ugly.

8-1 but I fear worse.

question:

1) status on Debrincat? (already **** faced somewhere downtown Helsinki, drowning his depression of being out for the tournament?

2) anybody knows a page having more pop ups than ********sports? (I don't, guiness book worthy wtf seriously)

go USA

This is why back to back's make no sense. IIHF needs to even out the schedule, makes absolutely no sense to have teams play back to back against other rested teams in a 4 game preliminary round.

That said, how long until the U.S. starts the "Fire Wilson" chants?

Yay underdogs!

What an awful shot though, I have no idea how it went in. But a well deserved lead!

Love these guys..They always fight and play at their maximum even though they always are the worse team on paper

These guys are used to playing back-to-backs, especially the guys playing in the CHL. They play those every week pretty much, and sometimes get three in three nights. And every team gets the same number, or so it seems to be. Maybe there's some imbalance on playing rested teams, but really, if the US can't get it together against a rested Denmark...
