Ya he has a suspected rib injury from a Getzlaf crosscheck on Nov 30. It caused JV to miss all of December. Canucks are trying to disguise it as a hip pointer. JV only started skating 1 week before Canada exhibition games by playing 2 conditioning stint games with Utica
Does this game mean anything at all for either team?

"Ryan Getlzaf with a cross check on Jake Virtanen and caught him right on the ribs, and thats why Virtanen was in trouble" John Garret
JV then misses the next 3-4 weeks of hockey.. Dont need to be a doctor to put 2 and 2 together..Broken or not he is definitely playing hurt.
It wouldnt be the 1st time a hockey player tried to play hurt especially given its a chance to play for his country.
**** the NHL network. Showing winter classic crap during when the game is on and actually going to show the game at 12:30 pacific time.
Watching some of the Czech Rep Finland game. Am I the only one who'd rather play the Fins than the Czechs? Something about that Czech team scares me.
I wonder if any adjustments will be made to the PP.
Oh so he was hurt. If he was still hurt I seriously doubt Vancouver would send him. Until someone reputable reports on this I'm gonna chalk it up as an excuse. Didn't hear about this injury after the exhibition game against Sweden.
Calling big games for both Virtanen and Marner today.
The team needs some of the so-called star players to step up.
Marner, in particular, has been a major disappointment. Strome has done well but he needs some more support offensively if the team is to go anywhere.
And folks are baffled why people would rather stream illegally. With service like that - it's no frigging wonder.![]()
Guessing a 5-4 or 6-5 kinda game, big performances for Marner and sanheim.
man this is 10am game out west
Over here - in a neighbouring country - where the tournament is starting to picking up popularity sports wise, it's shown on some obscure channel nobody has.And folks are baffled why people would rather stream illegally. With service like that - it's no frigging wonder.![]()
