We aren't really paying the price to score, though. Denmark defends with five in a small box like it was a constant PK.

Some day coaches will wake up and demand a player comes to the bench when they break a stick. A player without a stick is completely useless. Play 5 on 4 until the player comes back. Takes less than 10 seconds.

Whats up with that inferior mentality?

The fact that we have never even beaten them.....at any level basically.

Never at senior level at least at any real tournament.

That is not feeling inferior. Its just being realistic and knowing what the goal should be. We need to improve year after year - Last 6-1..we lost 8-0 to canada...This year we lost 6-1..That is improvement.
Same in this game. Ofcourse the boys play to win, but we need to be realistic.

Sweden look good today, they play the typical Swedish game. They are again looking like a team that should go deep into the medal rd. I would not be surprised.

That whole last shift (the one where the Danes got into the zone) from the 1st line really highlighted Holmstroms trouble in regards to skating in this style of game.

Late back into his own zone by a good few seconds... Lindblom had to shuffle over to play centre on D.

Could not get up on ice to support Kempe & Lindblom on the rush after he finally got back so they got crowded out with no option to play puck back to 3rd forward.

It is a shame. He is a very, very good hockey player but his skating will hold him back if he does not improve. I still think he can be an NHLer though.

You would think the Swedes miss William Nylander, but they just do not miss a step. I am very impressed by how you guys play as a team. The current team if they play like this would be serious candidates for the gold medal. Impressive team effort!

Danmarks goalie with the save of the tournament in the second period? Imagine if that had been in a final

Swe Den
den mark

Weird.

Ok game. We must be like the Soviets for the Danes. But sooner or later they will catch up, just like we did to Soviet/Russia.

Sweden were definitely overwhelming for Denmark today. Though it was frustrating to watch, it really didnt look like any line except for the fourth were going at full speed. Underwhelmed by our "skill line". They should excel in a game like this but really, didnt do much except for Nylanders goal. It looked like they wanted to transport the puck to the goal line every single time.
