Finland beats Sweden. Russia(after finishing 3rd) beats Canada/USA. Czechs(being 4th) beat USA/Canada.
It's not completely unrealistic. And only 2 of those things need to happen for you to finish 7th.
I'd hardly consider it a guarantee you finish 6th or better just yet

I think there's a really low chance of all three happening, probably about as high as Slovakia beating their QF opponent and finishing at least 4th.
The Czechs are pretty far from even making it to the QF right now.
Realistically we shouldn't finish any worse than 7th, which is pretty good as well.
so looks like unless we fundamentally collapse vs the Czechs, we will face Slovakia in the quarterfinals. Good.

Russia was smart to lose against Sweden. Facing Slovakia is a much easier quarterfinal than facing Finland.

Its very unrealistic. I would put the chances of Canada USA and Sweden losing in the quartet finals at under 5 % each. All three losing I would put at basically 0 %

just a fun prediction, losing to Germany was always unlikely. Good job beating Finland though

It's funny because I think most of us here know that the Russians are totally unpredictable at any level
Lucky to beat a weak Czech Republic side in OT in 2012 Quarter Final, everyone wrote them off (Except a few) from winning the next day in Canada against a highly rated Canadian team. 24 hours later and they are leading 6-1 with 12 minutes to go... finished 6-5, lucky to escape

you've never flown Toronto-Montreal. It's a 50 minute flight at the least, 1 h. 10 minutes at the most. + I would expect they'd be flying charter and not commercial. easy peasy, wheels up - coffee and cake - wheels down. That is no worse than a 30 minute bus ride in traffic from the hotel to rink. in fact it is better.
