Can anyone even remember Gretzky's line mates in his dominating Jr's appearance? I can't off the top of my head but I remember him and that performance.

I don't think you take Fabbri off a line he's having so much success with. Move Virtanen yes.

And? I personally still think Nylander and especially Ehlers are (far) better prospects.

They might be (slightly) more skilled, but neither bring any physical aspect to the game. Virtanen is just being under-utlized on this team. If he was playing with McDavid he would be getting all the praise those other guys are getting.

I was scared of Slovakia coming into this but the team has played a really solid and calm game, no scary moments. Germany has the ability to hang around for a while but if we give this kind of effort again I don't think they'll be able to handle it.

Yup. With the amount of hype and praise he's getting, McDavid should make everyone around him better, not need "wingers that suit him better".
