Parker, Ginobli, and duncan all said he was one of the higher paid coaches but he put so much of it back into the team through dinners and he was paying.

ESPN did a great job little documentary on it.
even Kawhi who doesnt talk says it was big for them as a team, and his development.

At the pro level, I can't really think of a coach so wholly connected to a franchise's identity than Popovich. He has been the Spurs since the Bulls were relevant.
