Depends on what you mean by nothing. Pouliot had a decent career but didn't live up to his potential.
I mean, you could say the exact same thing about Greenway. BP was a top 10 pick though, so I feel that's a bigger disappointment than a 2nd rounder.

I didn't expect much from Greenway and was always confused why people were so attached to him. I don't consider Greenway a disappointment in terms of making it. I consider him a disappointment because he has a considerable amount of talent and none of the toolbox to use it.

I dislike this trade as much as I disliked the Kunin trade.
I mean we did get Khus. However Guerin fumbled that as the expectation Bonino was to be traded

Dude could literally man-handle most of the league if he wanted to. But nah

I think he was missing an important tool. He just didn't have the hands. He can grind away and play keep away at the boards all day long, could just never do anything with the puck once he got his opening.

Really happy with this move. Greenway is Charlie Coyle. Showed you flashes of what he could do and then disappeared for 10 games. Don’t need that. I was a huge fan and still hope he succeeds but I’d have been happy with a 3rd and the cap space.

Well done Billy G , Marjo signing makes more sense now and if Nyquist pans out it was an A- or B+ from my perspective

Fine with this. Yea, he may find his game with his former coach in Buffalo, but guy lacks drive. I think his recent comments the last couple of weeks in some of the articles summarized his personality/competitiveness quite well.

With that said, I acknowledge that his shoulder injuries this year have certainly hindered him, but I still don't think he was going to actualize his potential as a top 6 PF.

The Kunin trade landed us Marat Khusnutdninov...

I'd say the jury is firmly still out on that trade.
I’d say Luke Kunin never reached his ceiling or close to it and it was wise to take what we were offered for him.

It did feel like we undersold at the time.
Got a high second and there were hints Bonino was supposed to be moved at the deadline. I thought it was a bad trade myself but coming around it wasn't as Kunin couldn't stay healthy and just couldn't take that next step forward due to that.

To add to that ... in our current situation, it would be hard to work with his cap playing on a bottom six, non-GREEF role.

I'd probably argue that if he was here he would have been playing next to Fiala and it probably would have worked out pretty well. But it broke the right way for us this time. Doesn't mean it was a great move at the time.

Kunin is a Shaw/Dewer type player. All motor and lacking skill. That’s not a bad thing and those guys are needed and once in a while you end up with a Zach Parise ….the Kunins of the game are easily replaceable though.
