I liked all the Paintshopped images of Johnston and others.

I still think about the main site forum a lot.. Like that terrible image caption creation from the Kehoe era.. the guy that still posts on here and turned out pretty normal intellectually had all those bad joke captions like “i paid $ to see this” on a fan behind Kehoe. KayKay catfishing guys. kaopectate’s trolling and calling Lemieux “Lemchew.” freakscene’ turning out to be my boomer neighbor.

The lead up and runs in the 2008 and 2009 playoffs were great. I have kept my avatar from those days cause I just can't change it. Everybody thought it would take 6-7 years for them to form a team that could win and in the 2nd year making the playoffs they went to the finals and the 3rd they won.

Nothing greater than when Roberts just obliterated that Sens player and took his lunch and scored in the first minute in the first game of the 2008 playoffs. The whole thing changed on that play. That momentum carried them to the finals that year and the Cup the next year.

The main board thread about how Petr Prucha was a better player than Crosby after about 10-15 games is an all time classic.
