Jagr.

Greatest career/player to me Jagr is definitely #1 in this group, and Lidstrom is definitely #4.

I could see a case for either Ovi or Hasek above Jagr.

For Lidstrom, the only way he's in contention is if by "greatest", you take into account reputation. If so, he rises a lot and has a case for #1. But as a player/career, he's an obvious #4.

Gonna take Hasek since the question is greatest European to play in the NHL vs "Greatest NHL career from a European".

He had 6 vezinas, 2 hart trophies, 2 ted lindsays, 6 1st ASTs and a cup and he didn't even become a starter until he was already 28 years old.

Are you asking for the best foreign born player to play in the NHL or the best career from a foreign born player?

If it's the best foreign player to play in the league the answer is Fetisov or Makarov
