I guess this may have been somewhere in here... but this is newspaperpicture of Radko Gudas and Teemu Selänne first meeting on ice. It was after 1992 finals and Radko was with his father Leo Gudas. Second GIF (okay sorry could not found picture) is from their later meeting in NHL.

Leo Gudas looks a lot like Jagr there. Just needs longer hair.

The Colored Hockey League of Nova Scotia

"Kinney and other church leaders helped publicize the informal three-team league and soon hundreds of spectators were attending CHL games. “Initially, the league started as a novelty, but the caliber of play improved, and a lot of players could make money,” George Fosty tells OZY. By 1900, the CHL had five franchises across Nova Scotia, and spectators, a majority of whom were white, were shelling out 25 to 35 cents per ticket to cheer on their hometown heroes."

December 12, 1933

Wow! I didn't know there were any pictures from the infamous Shore-Bailey incident. Thank you for sharing, I learned so much on here.

A fun detail — on the right side of the first picture, you can see Red Horner just starting to lunge toward Shore (off camera). He knocked Shore out cold, hitting his head on the ice so badly that in the moment it wasn’t completely clear whether both Shore and Bailey might need doctors.

The second picture, taken just a moment later, gives us a sense that the teams are in the process of rushing back to Bailey after going to break up Horner and Shore. The before-and-after has an almost artistic effect... we’ve all seen enough hockey brawls to fill in the gaps.

Saw this in a book I just started reading, and felt it was appropriate (sorry for the quality):

I laughed my ass off that night Avery tortured Brodeur all game with the stick up high screening him . Was the funniest thing I have witnessed watching hockey....the Refs and Brodeur just did not know how to address it . One thing for sure....Avery could get under Brodeur's skin and he did it well .

This isn't from Patrick Roy's last game, as he had switched to a newer model of Koho pads for the 1995-96 season that were half red - half white, as in this photo:

Thanks for that. I think you might be right. Getty images have this photo dated as December 2, 1995. Yves Racine (# 29) is in front of him, so I didn't question the date. But it seems that the photo might be from the 1994/95 season.
