Connolly gets dumped by Rakell and can't do anything to stop going into the goalie. That goal's on Rakell, not the refs.

It's amazing that we're even in a position where Swedish fans are getting mad about refs in a game against Great Britain.
Gets dumped? It wasn't even the beginning of a hit. It was, at best, a "Connolly's skating and balance is rather crap" situation. Those kind of contact situations happens every line change. Rakell almost fell as well, as he didn't expect Connolly to tumble that easily from such light contact. Both Rakell and Connolly stretched out their arm to gain a foothold and they were both equally involved in the initiated contact.

So by that logic, tripping penalties should never be called because the opposition should be stronger on their skates?
What a bad analogy, not even close.

It's more: If you trip somebody and they don't completely fall, then they trip you, and you fall, who's at fault?

According to you, only the latter should be penalized.

3-1, that should be it. Should. This is this tournament's Sweden we're talking about, I'm sure they'll find a new way to screw this up. 3 goalie injuries in 5 minutes? I'm sure such brilliant talents such as Connolly can help a bit with that. The bench collapses from termites and 15 players get back injuries? Or just a regular collapse where they collectively forget how to skate and pass a puck for 10 minutes?

Was in a phone meeting from just before the UK goal until now and could only have the game on with no sound in background. I was very confused about Great Britains goal, didn't even realize the puck crossed the goal line, they just suddenly had a goal. But now it feels like Sweden is completly controlling the game, everytime I look at the screen I wonder if Sweden are on the PP because they are just parked in the o zone, but no its 5 vs 5

Embarrassing that I have to be worried at 3-1 when we are dominating play as expected. I know what this team is capable of too well.

Adrian Kempe's tools are so good, if only his IQ was higher.
Yeah, both brothers are a good addition on an energy line. They know how to skate and shoot, that's for sure.

Also, you know it's a weird game when Pudas and Pilut are playing well. 39-7 in shots, that's kind of lol. And there's still 20 minutes left.

Lol, Dowd in the British team looked like he has the number 75 written with a marker on his neck. Is it in case he forgets his own number? Or by order of the coaches? British organization?

Why do a weird Norwegian powerkill specialist still man the blue line in PP? Garbage all tournament long.

Bowns is the only reason this isn't a double digit game. And yeah, some occasional sloppy shooting from the Swedes.

On a last note, while the pink patches on the Swedish jerseys are very ugly, the bright pink ones on the British jerseys look absolutely ridiculous and very malplaced.

Myers gets the "best player" award for Britain. Lol! Myers who?

Do a bit of reading before making such outlandish comments.

Firstly, the GB sponsor chose to run pink patches this year as part of efforts to raise awareness/funds for breast cancer charities. The team ran a big raffle of a set of warm-up jerseys with the funds going to breast cancer charities.

And they picked Myers because it was his 100th game in a GB jersey today. That's why he was named the captain instead of Phillips.

Haha mate there is no chance we win gold regardless of referees
Crazier things have happened.

Remember when Portugal barely advanced from their group with Austria, Hungary and Iceland in 2016? And yet still won the EC? (I know lucky 3rd place advancement) but still.

I will be back with a laugh if Sweden end up winning anyway.

What exactly are the points you are trying to make ? Are you bored or being silly ? Or just making a fool of yourself with the nonsense you are posting.

Haha, du har möjligen inte redan en snedfylla?

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe Ben Bowns.

Should have left the EIHL sooner and played in a top league. He was/is capable of it. Maybe the next generation will try to be more open to playing abroad if they merit it and the chances present themselves.
