Real tough to make a trade for a good defensemen mid season until the deadline. They could have easily gone for Fabbro...don't know why they didn't. It takes a bit of work to clear cap but thats the job

It is. Not holding my breath, but I'm also a fan of just flinging other shit at the wall if what you're doing isn't working.

Fabbro is tough with his salary. He ultimately went on waivers and CBJ had priority. For Ottawa it would have meant some significant gymnastics to bring in a guy that had plenty of detractors. Nashville is not a team I watch typically, so I can barely attest to seeing him play and offering much of an opinion.
