What I don’t like about this is the fact that if we want to bring in an impact player now, we will need to give up one of Mav or Stank. No way Bichsel moves at this point and without a first, we don’t have much of value that we can move. But if Nil won’t consider anyone with term because of the cap, how can he justify moving cost controlled assets like Mav and Stank?

Ugh just win the cup and none of this matters…

Still have most of our draft picks next year and a few guys like Hemming, Stranges, Blumel who may have some value.

Don't think we will be doing any big-game shopping though, although I really do hope Nill tries for another top 4 dman.

If there's another trade in the work I guess we have to either move like Dumba or "Mark Stone" Miro (or do both) even if he could be available earlier?

Well... hopefully Ceci is the "temporary" solution to the Heiskanen injury and not the permanent RHD solution for the playoffs. Last night clearly showed that they can't roll with Capobianco and Dumba as a bottom pair while they wait for Miro to come back.

we're lacking in wishlist lines. someone post something so we can bitch that pdb does something different
Robertson - Hintz - Johnston
Bourque - Duchene - Marchment
Benn - Granlund - Stankoven
Dadonov - Back - Steel
Blackwell

Harley - Ceci
Lindell - Lybushkin
Bichsel - Dumba
Smith

Had to make a couple of choices that will anger people.

I don’t mind the trade ceci was a throw in we needed a body and he was solid for the oilers last year in the playoffs. Granlund has been almost a ppg the past two years helps give us the deepest top 9 in the nhl. Wouldn’t mind a top 4 dman but what options other than hypotheticals are out there?

Still think this team needs another goal scorer, but can't see us adding another top 6 forward

Granlund is a great playmaker though so should be able to hopefully help drive up the goal totals for some other guys

I like Granlund and am glad to have him, but it is more of the same. If we win it's going to be because we out-soft and out-finesse everyone.

The top priority remains finding ways to keep Matt Dumba and whoever from the AHL off the ice.

Even if we wanted to add grit that should be extremely cheap. It’s not like it’s a sellers market for bottom 6 forwards with size there will be plenty available at the deadline.
