I would be annoyed by those Canes picks. Neither is BPA and we have a plethora of very similar very-slight forwards. We should be drafting for size and two-way skill.

I also personally have a strong preference for E.J. Emery and think pairing him with Nikishin long-term would give other Metro teams hell.

You've probably got the picks completely right though. 😕

Fair enough, I didn't intend on giving them two small skilled forwards but I do think Connelly is BPA at that point. The Canes strike me as a talent above all else kind of drafting team so that influenced my two picks for them, with a little bit of biased hopes that Misa goes in the 2nd because I'm a fan of his.

Yeah, I’d be pretty happy with that. Celebrini, Yakemchuk, and Yegorov are great picks and while I prefer Emery to Danford and Surin to Pettersson I wouldn’t be mad or anything if that’s how it went down.

LA will not choose Marek Vanacker when Adam Jiricek, Stian Solberg, Trevor Connelly and EJ Emery are available.

almost perfect for Mtl.

Demidov is the kind of talent we need the most. And i love Stolberg but he is a lhd.

I think if we draft Demidov at 5, i would go for Surin or Basha at 26. Maybe Basha at 26 and move up from 57 to get Surin. Would absolutely love to get him.
