When Yzerman drafted Kasper, he said Marco has untapped offense. Looks like he might know how to evaluate talent after all.

Special teams have been bad for GR all season, 26th in league on PP, 20th on PK. They're really good at ES, testament to coaching and players buying into team D. Two-way ability of their top prospects in recent years and most veteran additions shows up at ES. Kasper's ES production in regular season (.39 PPG) is about the same as JT Miller (.40 PPG),in his 19yo AHL season, better than Filip Forsberg (.36), Adrian Kempe (.29) and Zibanejad (.26 in just 23 GP) in theirs. Five more ES points for Marco in five playoff games. Obviously he lacks skill though.

Most stupid schedule ever. Why do they have 4 off-days at Milwaukee??? And play that 2nd leg on MONDAY ??? Why on earth not on a weekend?

And then, when both have to travel, it's only 1 off-day before they play again at Grand Rapids.

The Milwaukee arena is a university facility and is booked for graduation ceremonies Friday and Sunday.

Danielson is set to join the Griffins as they continue their march through the Calder Cup Playoffs, where they hold a 1-0 series in their best-of-five Central Division Finals series against the Milwaukee Admirals.

Game two of that series will be Monday night in Milwaukee, and per GR coach Dan Watson, it could become Danielson's professional debut, saying,“He’s an option [for Game 2]. Obviously, he finished the other night, traveled back and now he’s going to travel here. We’ll talk to him, see how he’s feeling…See if he can be up to speed with us, but he’s certainly a good option for us for the lineup.”


Watson added of Danielson, “I got to see him through Red Wings Training Camp. Smart player. He thinks the game extremely well. He’s a smooth skater. He does have good skill.”
