Nice , make room for Danielson
Play or not play , he will get evaluated and compare to other guys. If coach thinks he is good enough to replace Lombardi, for example, he will play. Most importantly Yzerman needs to know if he should draft another center with his first pick, Hage , for example, or go with best available playerIt would be great to see Danielson in a playoff series vs. a good team, but these kids are not robots. If Portland gets eliminated in Game 4 I doubt very much he gets on a plane and joins the team in Milwaukee. If he's up to it, that's good news. But he's already had a long season that started last summer with Team Canada camps, NHL camp and preseason, a ridiculous WHL bus travel schedule, trips to Toronto and then Europe with Team Canada, a move from Manitoba to Portland and now playoffs. All told with NHL preseason and Team Canada exhbitions he's probably over 80 GP this season with mutliple teams and as much demanding travel as anyone in the hockey world.
Also, he's not going to get dropped into what has been a winning lineup without at least some practices to acclimate to how GR plays and new teammates. If he's around long enough and healthy enough, and GR stays alive, he'll probably get into some games. But it would also be pretty reasonable for him to just meet and greet players and staff, consult with trainers, etc, and overall just recover from a long season. He's got plenty of work ahead of him this summer to try to make the Wings.

oh good lord man, that's pushing it lolThe horrific nature of the griffins power play is truly a testament to the wings draft strategy.
Meanwhile their team D can be utterly dominant for stretches.
Idk man, their PP is particularly inept loloh good lord man, that's pushing it lol
But they are really good 5 on 5, doesn't that show they have loads of talent that can beat others even up.Idk man, their PP is particularly inept lol
Love our prospects, great 5v5 team and good D. The guys have not figured out the PP, 0/10 in the playoffs, and for the most part weren't drafted for the power play either. But they are really good 5 on 5, doesn't that show they have loads of talent that can beat others even up.
