Wings should try Lombardi - Kasper- Kane line before season ends. It will be very good for his development.

Does anyone know what type of contract Becher is on? I read that it was an amateur tryout contract for the AHL but he has now played 6 games. At some point soon he would need to sign a real professional contract or be sent back for an overage season in the WHL I would think.

That Cossa vs Wallstedt debate is no longer looking like such a debate. Wallstedt has been pretty bad this year, including 5 goals on 28 shots today. GAA north of 4 across 11 games, too.

Friday night Cossa was really off, letting in 4 goals on 30 shots, for a save percentage of .866

....

which is higher than Wallstedt's after 10 games who is rocking an .861,

Cossa had been by far superior but I'm not writing off wallstedt cause of one bad season. As long as our guy's good and Augustine keeps progressing that's all I care about

Lombardi 1 g 1 a tonight . Thinking we might have someone alot better than ppl expected. About time some of these later round picks go off we're due.

Finnie with another goal last night as well

Been shoveling snow all day. I didn’t realize the Griffs were playing. Nice rebound win. Why can’t we have Watson on the fourth line in Detroit. From what that clip showed of Elmer I want him up there too for the fourth line

gonna b good problem next yr, soderblom, tuomisto no longer waiver exempt i think plus lomdardi, danielson gonna be pushing for roster spots

They'll both clear waivers. If Stevie lets Fish, Kane, Motte and Petry walk this summer, there will be plenty of roster space. Gus and Tank could be bought out to make more room.

Lombardi and Danielson should get at least a few games to make the decision easier. Lombardi's game may or may not transfer to the NHL level. Smaller guys are harder to predict.

Waiver claims have to stay on the NHL roster. Waiver claims don't happen as often as you think, here's this year's claims:

But no big loss anyways. Elmer has 5 points in GR, Tuo has 4. The only thing those 2 players have is height.

Tuo is a 6'4 RHD, those aren't easy to find. Someone would snap him up and give him a chance.

Hell, I would happily waive Petry and give Tuo his roster spot.

To have another #7 defansman? Tuomisto is Holl lite and one day he could play third pair in NHL.

The tank was recent enough t that fans should still remember that there is a significant talent level difference between a bad NHLer and a good AHLer. I still remember how badly the Wings got hemmed in their own zone when Stevie called up McIlrath, Lashoff, Jake Chelios, Sulak, Hicketts and Bowey. Cholo was also on that roster.

That being said, if the Wings are under .500 pt% in January, Stevie might as well call up the AHLers as you suggested so that the team can figure out the roster for next season. Stevie needs to dump some of these garbage veterans that I mentioned earlier.

Yeah, how many #7D do we need? Other than Ed/Mo, they all look like #7D. Also too many 4th line forwards.

Thanks to Draper, there's more in the pipeline too.
