Lavi lost this team
1 cup in 84 soon to be 85 years, that’s a problem
When do my rose colored glasses turn clear. I have been through this GARBAGE for 65 years of my Rangers fandom, yes there have been some bright spots but mostly gut wrenching. This team as constructed will never win a cup. This cores window is starting to shut. Let the youngsters play. Put the core in the pressbox, or a fast train out of New York. I think the only rule they have is you can’t walk on the logo in the dressing room. Since you can’t fire the team fire the coach. I still can’t stand Miller, if I never saw him again in a Ranger jersey it will be to soon. There are others but I will start here

Igor isn’t Hank. It’s not about stats it’s about mentality. Hank was locked in for every second of every game. Igor is out to lunch way too much for a player of his caliber. Might be time for a visit from Allaire. I think we get Quick Friday
Which is why Hank was always worth being paid more than anyone else other goalie. Consistently elite performance. Igor has had elite runs but it’s reached the point where his elite runs look closer to exception than rule. Even his playoff runs, he was good for soft goals fairly regularly and luckily the Rangers had offensive fire power to get him through those issues. Hank never had such a luxury.

Igor just isn’t consistent enough. Certainly not consistently reliable eliteness that makes it worth paying someone 40% more than the next highest paid player at his position. Hellebuyck has been better for longer, has more hardware, has a conference finals run under his belt and signed for 3m less a season than the deal Igor TURNED DOWN.

If we’re going to pay the guy what he wants then there can’t be excuses for him not delivering consistently feline results. Sorry, you want 12m a season then you’re going to have to make up for poor play in front of you.

How did KK look down the middle?
I was at the game. I thought he was one of the only forwards that showed up. He was kind of platooning a bit a center with Edstrom, but Kakko looked pretty good to me. Still looks slow, but skated hard and moved pretty well. Not sure it’s a permanent spot for him but not is the time to try stuff like this out

Hate to break it to some of you guys, but the Igor deal is likely done. Neither side wants to announce it during this slump while the fans are rabid.
I don’t agree with this at all. Igor’s form has been in the tank since Weekes hinted the deal was close. If anything I think Igor’s head is messed up right now because of the contract stuff

His head has been messed up every season since 21-22.

I saw a much better effort this game than the previous 3. We could have won this one.

We are not going to suddenly turn it around and dominate a top team, this is a step in the right direction.

Carolina got 2 extra power plays on dives. We got tripped twice blatantly and they were not called. Not that getting those calls would have helped. The Power play needs an overhaul.

I am on board with traded Shesty. He is not the best goalie in the league. He is not even the best goalie on this team. He has been beat by goalies I have never heard of before they played us. He currently is 15th in SV% and 32 in GAA among goalies with at least 8 games. He drops to 23rd and 43 among all goalies. Some of this is the teams fault. But the best goalie in the league would do better. Do not pay him 11+ million. Maybe 6 million tops. He should have taken the 11 million before the season started. He is playing himself out of that contract. 37 year old Cam Talbot is outplaying him. Shesty is not terrible it's just that there are probably at least 20 goalies that are better than him now. I would trade him for a good young goalie and a couple of high picks.

Maybe its time to fire the hall of fame defensive coach. Along with Trouba and Lindgren.

I like Berard. I hope he can keep playing like this and stick with the team.

We need to stop building our franchise around classy and soft men. We need dirt bags with criminal records. Kreider composing poems for hallmark and mika writing recipes for hellosoy meal kit service and trouba appearing in commercials for the big pharma. We need violent convicts and charlatans who victimize the elderly. This core is limp.

You need more from 10-16-13 tonight. Cannot be the worst looking line of the night and get the most time. I'll give Panarin a pass because he's been good most of the way. I don't know what happened to Trocheck. He used to shoot a lot, now he has Rangeritits and backhand saucers are the way to go. Lafreniere can be better too.

This might be one of the best games Lindgren played, and he was forcefed offensive zone draws. Still on the negative side of possession metrics.

Mika looks better with these two than any other combo this season. They force him to skate. These two with Chytil could be dangerous. Congrats Berard, but he's going to get many more. 2 games in and he's Connor Garland lite.

I will give all the props for the 3rd and 4th lines. Both did exactly as asked tonight and got buried on the bench. Happy for Edstrom, he's been a good soldier.

Miller-Trouba was an abomination. There is no reason Jones-Schneider wasn't getting that ice time. You can't keep playing the players that are going worse.

If this was the last stand for that, fine, but it's been time to calibrate the minutes on this team with who is producing and who is not.
