At first it appeared that the gorilla was protective but then it just dragged the child through the water HOW CAN YOU DO THAT

Wouldn't complain about putting him down

If someone comes into your house and you drag them out should you be put down? I'd assume yes based on your logic.

Should shoot the parents. **** humanity.

Did you see the video? The gorilla dragged the boy through the water. How can you do that and live? The gorilla was not being protective at all

Sadly when you assault children you have to pay the price

Gorilla had to die

All living beings are equal

Yeah okay let me know when a deer rings my doorbell and asks to borrow the lawnmower so he can mow his lawn.

The fact of the matter is the humans are on top of the food chain and any other animal is lower than us. While they do deserve rights in some way, they're also different than humans and shouldn't be treated on equal footing.

This is like the activists who tried to give a chimpanzee legal rights  It's a chimpanzee it's not a human and it doesn't deserve human rights

Chimps deserve human rights, activists argue in New York - Telegraph

May 27, 2015 - Previous attempts by the group to obtain a writ of habeas corpus for chimps have ended in failure, with a three-member New York appellate court panel ruling unanimously in December 2014 that chimps were not entitled to human rights.

The child was stupid enough to get into the gorilla's habitat.

The parents should be held responsible for the death of the Gorilla.

Literally no blame should be placed on the Gorilla, same as with the Zoo. Unfortunately I can see the parents hiring a lawyer to sue them for all the injuries the child received. (the fall primary, and some from being dragged around by the Gorilla)

Also all of the people hung around the area and screamed as loud as they could. They should have been escorted out honestly, all that noise could provoke the animal. Stupid inattentive parents, should have been watching the kid.

Yeah. A whole lot of stupidity on display here with this ordeal.

Depends on what actually happened. You can't say across the board that if a 4-year-old did something, the parents must be at fault. Kids that age are notoriously hard to monitor because they're a deadly combination of curious, mobile, sneaky, and ignorant of danger.

I'm surprised they weren't able to work through the situation with the gorilla. They're smart beings, even when agitated, and they grasp the concept of a negotiation.

Exactly. Kids are curious by default

Parents should have done more to stop him but whatever

Gorilla DRAGGED THE KID

Oh no the gorilla dragged the kid!

Why didn't the gorilla hug and kiss and cherish the little human being!

Is that what the gorilla was suppose to do? Like what did anyone expect?

The wrong animal got shot..those parents should be in place.
