Mispronouncing unfamiliar names is understandable.

Not realizing Slovakia scored their second goal against the US despite all visual and audio cues, then doubling down on it not being a goal, that was tough.

Exactly the type of thing he's been doing quite often. No disrespect on the guy but he's been below his usual standards.

I'm no expert on the finer details of broadcasting and what separates one from the rest. I just go by whether I enjoy listen to a certain person call a game. I have always enjoyed Gord Miller and probably always will, even if he isn't technically very good (I can't say if he is or isn't). I've always enjoyed watching this tournament, and Miller is the voice of this tournament for as long as I have been paying attention. I find he and Ray make a good team, and play off each other well.

Calling names of junior players they probably don't get the chance to see except for these 3 weeks of the tournament - I can accept errors in player names.

NHL play by play guys who call 40+ games for a single team but still mess up players - that is harder to accept.

I will say though, I've noticed for years that Gord Miller eats up the "s" at the end of plural words. Not sure why, but he does.

Hate his over the top gurgly voice when Canada does the smallest thing on the ice and he sells it like the guy just cured cancer.

Me too, I would prefer if there was no commentary, and bring back the CGI tail so I can actually follow the puck. Much easier to just to stick to the NBA, at least I know where the ball is.

Gord is probably one of the best announcers for a tight game in my opinion

anyone forced to work with the non-stop babbling of ferraro is bound to make mistakes. it would be extremely hard to work with a guy who is constantly talking while you are supposed to be doing PBP.

I love Gord Miller, he does a great job and been doing it for years...Of course he is going to mess up some names, every damn announcer has with half these kids..
