Gretzky has lived more of his life as yankee than as a Canadian. He's not red and white. He's red, white and blue. Plus, he appears to be siding with the guy who keeps questioning our sovereignty over our nation, and I have harsh words that would end up deleted (and rightfully so) for him over that.

You know for sure he is drunk. Not some Dr prescribed meds or some medical condition.

I have known a lot of older people that act no different than Wayne does right now on the camera.

I am not into behind the scenes rumours about old senior celebrities so I don't know how to verify he is drunk all the time and not anything else.

Meh it makes sense why Wayne would support Trump, he's right in the right demographic- rich, above 40, wealthy and white. It's not an attack on him personally it's just not surprising.

Gretzky has never been an interesting interview, I've always thought of him as non-descript and apolitical and in my mind that was good because I get tired of hearing the political opinions of celebrities.

I think that his lack of political awareness has hurt him in this matter. He should have seen this coming and been better prepared for a public statement.

That said, it doesn't negate the good things he has done for Edmonton and I don't know why he is accused of being a drunk. That seems unfair to me.

I agree. Gretz has always been a conservative like most Albertans. But he has always been pragmatic is his approach to many things.

We also know WHY this thread is here and it has little to do with hockey but leans towards a subject we should discuss because I know it is a MASSIVE trigger for me right
