i agree with your premise but i think you have the math backwards.. talent gets you in the top half of the league. Will is what separates winners from losers come spring.
Fair.

I can’t get myself to watch again until Lindgren is banished from the Fox pair. It all just feels pointless
I agree with both. Lindgren played ok…made a couple good plays and his mistakes weren’t exploited. But also…I won’t feel comfortable until he’s out of the lineup. Why they’re letting Jones rot in favor of Lindgren is vexing. Completely senseless.he was actually ok this game and had a nice hit in the first

Don't forget the fact that our "star" d-man is most likely WAY more comfortable with Lindgren than he would be with Jones. You know why. One guy is a small 3rd round pick and the other guy is a vet that makes splash gritty plays once in a while.
Just watched the replay bc I missed it live.
I'm no different than anybody when it comes to K'Andre's brainfarts and how frustrating he can be, but if the hate feels unfair it's because of games like this one, where he was legitimately dominant and we won, against a great team, and there is just radio silence about it. This is true more broadly about defensmen, I think, but a player like Miller especially so. Mostly because what made him great wasn't a bunch of plays that many appreciate as great plays in real time. Miller has that potential to be such an elite play killer. Loved seeing it tonight. Borgen's been a good fit with him.
Also though Mika had his best game so far this year and he's strung a few good ones together now. He's not there yet. That give-and-go where he whiffs on the one-timer at the high slot is exhibit A. Still, encouraging signs--really really hope it continues. For the first 40 mins I thought he was the best player on the ice.
I’d be perfectly fine if they in-season resigned both Vaaka and Borg
especially for the fraction of a cost
There were a few plays where it looked like he had a hole in his sitck. Also though Mika had his best game so far this year and he's strung a few good ones together now. He's not there yet. All the guy had to do to get back in everyone’s good graces was fling a few limp turds on goal on the power play and then almost kill Trocheck with a slapshotFor me, Mika is back when he starts hitting the top corners of the net with his one timer. Right now, he still can't hit the side of a barn.
His coordination is just completely washed. I don’t think he can do what he’s thinking anymore and it’s tough to watch. At best he can just simplify everything and make basic playsThere were a few plays where it looked like he had a hole in his sitck.

Yeah, lets omit everything else he has improved. Him being top of the charts or near it every game since the break is just fake news. His coordination is just completely washed. People on here hate when you do a 180 and flip flop on stuff after a good or bad stretch. But then if you are just consistent on who you think the problem players are that’s also not allowedYeah, lets omit everything else he has improved. I get it. Its hard when the narrative you fought so hard to convey is crumbling. At least the majority of the people here who was bagging on him for his shitty play, and rightfully so, are able to admit that he is a completely different player now and is a positive factor out there for the team.
He might think that but I don't care what he thinks. He and Lindgren are horrible together.Don't forget the fact that our "star" d-man is most likely WAY more comfortable with Lindgren than he would be with Jones.
I think your point is fair but I also think it's fair to not get excited until we see maybe half a season of the same good play, especially in Miller's case. He's shown flashes before.Just watched the replay bc I missed it live.

I never said it was a good thing. He might think that but I don't care what he thinks. He and Lindgren are horrible together.
Huh, so even without knowing what Miller potential trade return is or how his and Lindgren's future cap would be savings of $11m-$12m are utilized is irrelevant?... Trading miller, however, probably slams our window shut.
i think miller is underrated here. I think whatever trade we'd make would return cents on his dollar. i think whatever LD we would acquire to replace him would be worse.Huh, so even without knowing what Miller potential trade return is or how his and Lindgren's future cap would be savings of $11m-$12m are utilized is irrelevant?
I think my point is only that people don't seem to know what a great game from miller is. Because they expect him to be so noticable, either physically crushing guys or rushing end to end, jersey flapping etc.I think your point is fair but I also think it's fair to not get excited until we see maybe half a season of the same good play, especially in Miller's case. Those are also the "flashes" people seem to see and, ironically, it's when he's trying hardest to be that kind of "flashy" player that he struggles most and makes the biggest errors.
I'm not saying he's turned a corner or anything, just noticing he was so good and nobody seemed to notice lol
