GDT: Gold: Sweden vs USA

USA bigger, faster, and more talented.

The latter 2 games I included were their A team in the preliminary U18 Worlds games, so they're not including "any and all results."
O.k let me rephrase that, they are including any and all that they win and excluding any they lose.

They have a perfect record.

Don’t think they should keep on playing Salomonsson with Good Bogg. Rather see him with odelius.

Very high standard of play for the U18 level. High intensity, fast paced. It's entertaining and stressful.

I would like to see Salomonsson with Odelius, too.

Bad second goal but any time you are tied with this U.S team you are doing well.

I can see some cracks Sweden can exploit but they can't let up for a second, be aggressive with them.

Good Bogg must be there only for the name. I don’t see anything I like in his game.
He is quite physical and tough, I guess. But he very clearly isn’t good at handling the puck or making smart decisions both with and without it.

He can hit. But it's 50-50 if it'll be a clean hit or a penalty
Not completely lousy shorthanded, but rather limited overall. And I think his first-pass has been bad in this tournament. That's the least you can expect from a stay-at-home d (at this level)

Öhgren has been playing injured all tournament long, ligament. Playing through it with syringes(can't think of the right term in English).

Öhgren's getting x-rayed after the tournament and might need to get a surgery.

This is why I hate TSN broadcasts. They always live in the moment and make outlandish statements, only to make themselves sound foolish and NEVER admit they were wrong. Button said Bedard struggled vs Finland and then Bedard scores two to make him look stupid. Instead of saying “Bedard is off his game”, say “ Bedard quiet thus far and credit to the Finns, but he’s too dangerous to overlook”.

In this game, they are knob slobbing Havelid (after only 10 mins lol) and then he lets in a brutal goal.

This Mudrick guy is an NHL play-by-play for Montreal? His takes are way way off too often and sometimes he just goes silent.

Hudson with some great hockey both ways.
For me, he's stood out the most by far on Team USA.
Him and Snuggerud for me.

This is turning out to be a pretty good game, Sweden sticking with them and getting some chances here and there.

You can be a best team in the tournament but you need to score from those breakaways in finals too...

Outside of the first game Sweden has at the very least had extremely consistent goaltending for an u18 tournament.

Cooley's pretty interesting. He definitely makes tons of flashy plays all the time, most of them good. But from the few games I've seen in this tournament, I'm not sure I'd call him much of a play driver, at least if I compare to someone like Östlund who seems to have a much more dominant play style.
