He's confident, not the worst trait in a player.

How? he is leading the tournament in scoring and made a confident statement about himself and his teammates.

I like confidence in a player, but saying that the opponent hasn't faced a "real team" goes beyond that, IMO. Confidence is being sure of your own abilities. Selling your opponent short is cockiness and disrespect. You can be the former without being the latter.
