Just a good clean cross-check to the face. By far the dirtiest play of the game.

Perhaps another undeserved penalty shot will cheer you up

Ha. Even Canadian(?) announcers in YouTube stream admitted #16 was diving.

Cross-check to the chest and then the head movement caused that penalty.

At this point I'm pretty much expecting Canada to win easily, it would take a miracle for Finland to win, look completely outclassed.

I know Canada doesn't inspire the same feeling as Russia or Sweden but Team Finland really needs some emotion in their game. They look flat.

They showed replay from another angle and the crosscheck hit the chest and he just threw his head back.

His stick road up and into his throat/ chin. Looked worse live, which is the view the ref has. It was a stupid thing to do. But that's hockey.

Was not even close to face...
RULE 143 – HIGH-STICKING DEFINITION: A player who carries any part of his stick above the height of his shoulders and who strikes an opponent with any part of it.

Simply ask yourself: Was it above his shoulders?

The rule is there for a reason... to avoid chit getting out of hand exactly as it was in this game. Intentional high sticks and kicks are extremely dangerous and have no place in the game. Good call by the official.

Where is Kakko? Hes normally more visible than this, I havent seen him once granted I turned on the game at the 10min mark

A small miracle needs to happen if we want to turn this game around. Right now we're playing just like Canada wants us to...
