Nailed it. The crying about officials and all the excuses for losing was insufferable. This is the same group of people who called the montreal police demanding Chara be charged for his hit on Patches. Lol
Totally. When Canada lost, the TSN panel immediately focused on the kneeing penalty and reffing.

But what they do is clever. They'll try to focus on stuff like officiating as the hot topic trying to appease sore fans like it's not the team's fault overall.

But then like 45 minutes later they'll bring up other stuff like coaching, picking the right roster, and if the team took too many penalties overall. Of course, they could flip it and focus on this stuff first, and a kneeing penalty later.

But they ride the emotions to make the team loss as soft a blow as possible before bringing up other plausible factors later.

My advice ... you and every hockey fan you know (and I *KNOW* MN is full of them) needs to buy tickets on Day 1.

Otherwise every Canadian Prairie hockey fan will gobble them up.
Right now they are only selling them in 29 game bunches, which cost 2-3 G's.

Don't understand why some on here seem to be intent on shitting on the game. It was great....Finland was better in teh first half, USA in the 2nd. Very few penalties, with both teams playing smartly, rather than indulging in self destructive behavior that hurt the team. Not crazy about 3 v 3 in a medal game, but it was fair, and both sides had chances to win it. Feel bad for Rimpinen, because he was amazing, but overall both teams and fans of those teams should feel proud.

You should have seen the Canadian crybabies attacking me when I kept shoving it in their faces about the 1980 US Olympic Team winning Gold, despite not having
8-9 of the best NCAA aged peer players, starting with Hall of Famers, Rod Langway
and Joe Mullen. They couldn't handle the fact a US Team with a much shallower
player pool than what they have now in comparison, got it done.

Bunch of ****ing crybabies.
Yes I'm sure they were cry babies. Just like you guys, amd everyone else in defeat.

I mean, who wants to pay $100 to see Kazakstan V Latvia?
Nobody. Tickets for those kinds of games should be $10. Maybe even make them free, try to pack the place with people who want a free game to watch and make money on parking, food and beer.

I checked the WJH website skimming random games. The USA/Fins game wasnt even a sell out. It topped out at just under 17k fans, while the Canada/Cze game was over 18K. The bronze game was 11k, and Swedes/Fins semis was 13k.

Most other games drop off like a cliff.

I poked around looking at prelim round games for less popular teams and those games get about 3,000 fans. I didnt check all games, but didn't see any in the 2,000s. or less.

Can’t imagine attending a hockey game not involving my team and selecting one amateur player to boo all game. Especially for the egregious offense of “diving” and not like obvious and dangerous intent to injure or insulting the crowd to the media or something. But I guess people have to do what they can to justify their ticket cost, and I know the kids are tough and can handle it.

Well, your guys' slogan is literally "USA Hockey is do or die".....

Also, it was pretty much unanimous this tournament that Canada didn't have the best players.

I'm probably the only person in here from US, old enough (70) to remember Canadian media insulting US Hockey by calling them Team Useless at the '76 CC. Yet that useless team only lost 4-2 in The Montreal Forum to the greatest Canadian Team ever assembled and they tied a strong Czech Team.

Medals being awarded to the players (Finns first) and Gord Miller and Mike Johnson bored out of their minds barely saying a word.
I know, so pathetic. Have a little class. Or at least fake having some class and give the moment the gravitas it deserves, if for no other reason than it will ultimately help your network’s bottom line
