Leonard was definitely MVP. I’d say Perreault before Hutson. Leonard was the best player in this tournament for me. Incredible talent.

Especially since he's a Nashville draft pick. Good luck to him getting any ice time with the Preds, who treat their young forward prospects like the Finns treated their goalie in OT.

This loss is straight on Lauri Mikkola's fault.
Once again he didn't react at all for that his team
was in full panic and survival mode after 2nd period.

Less what he should have done would've been that
he takes at least a timeout when USA tied the game in 2nd period.

It was alos so obvious Rimpinen's hot god mode streak
comes to an end some point and now it happend.

It is not likely or even realist to expect that 18 yrs old goalie
saves your team every time when they are into deep troubles.

This was 2nd staight year when our bozo head coach Mikkola
let medal game win slip out of our hands i forgive to Mikkola this time
but if this happens once again next years U20 WJC's o should be fired immidiately.

That was probably the single best game of hockey I've seen in at least five years. I'm a Sabres fan so take that with a grain of salt but still

I'm a Rangers fan. Guys cut to the middle of the ice and shoot instead of chucking a backhand pass to nobody and I'm like "is that legal???"

There wasnt going to be a shootout.

That's what I mean. Knowing there was no shootout due to the gold medal game rules, they didn't try and force the issue more than necessary and were content to circle around to hold the puck. Forcing the issue because you want to settle it before a shootout often leads to mistakes that create 2 on 1s, breakaways or even 2 on 0s.

They were gassed in the third period. Their conditioning diminished progressively after that first period but was extremely evident at the end of the third.
