No? Based on what exactly? Look at the top 20 scorers every year and tell me how many are Canadian. Look at the composition of NHL rosters. Look at the number of rinks. The number of registered players.

Other countries claim "Well only half of the top 50 players are Canadian!" as if that is somehow proof that Canada isn't on another level when it comes to hockey.

Sure they will lose in one-off tournaments sometimes. But they win more than anyone else in best on best tournaments (a scenario where Russia hasnt won in 34 years)

Based on facts. Sure, Canada is the best hockey country in the world but if you look at Sweden who has produced top top talent for decades and consists of only 9 million people. Canada is not unbeataable at all and it all comes down to what kind of group you have and so on.
