Russia's defense is simply not NHL caliber. They will never beat Canada until they have some talented defensemen. Seems like talented Russian youth rather play offense than defense...

Absolutely. Russia can drive the play against some teams, but not a loaded Canadian team. They need defensemen who can push the play out to the forwards. Provorov and Zadorov might be future studs for them but that's a ways down the road.
