I don't see a favorite here, even though Russia already beat Finland and they also beat a strong US team. Finland has some great players, and they play their team-game successfully. I think they have everything for the win. They beat Canada and I think that has given them some confidence :naughty: they have performed the ability to come back from many unfavorable game situations. Their elite line is amazing, but still not the only one that is dangerous, and the whole team is playing with a great speed and effort. I think Finland wins. But Russia was surprisingly good against the States for me, and the US have a very good team here. This will be the game to watch.

Like anything else is this tourny. Every big team had a down game. Does the Russia that played denmark show up or the Russia that came back and beat finland show up? The top 4 teams can beat each other on any given day so really is a toss up. I just hope it isn't a snooze fest.

This will be tough and low scoring game.
Finland is much better when they are underdogs so Russia is favorite to me.
I don't made any predictions game will show which-one will win.

I believe in our guys, but it wouldn't surprise me if Russia ends up coming out on top either. Like some others have said, it's usually Finland as a team versus the other team's superstars that is the story. This time, however, it seems to be the other way around. Feels very strange.

I wouldn't give much value to that group stage FIN-RUS game. Russia exploited our horrible defensive mistakes and goaltending in their comeback (not trying this discredit Russia but still), and both have now improved.

I wonder if home arena pressure starts to kick in finally...

Russia wins 5-4. Finland scores 3 goals on the PP.

Not sure who will win but it will be a close game and Bragin's Russia won't go down without a fight, you can count on that.

Let's go Finland!!!!

No beef with Russia, but love to see home country win here, I think it'd mean a lot to them.

I wanted Russia to be the other finalist and it happened and Finland wins this.

It's going to be a tight game but at some point Finland starts scoring a lot suddenly and the game ends 4-1 or 5-1 (1 empty net goal).

I'd say Rus is the favourite, our defense is still what it is, can it hold up for 1 more is a big question.

But I like this game, I hope our guys are extra motivate(after being motivated that it's a gold game+ home tournament) on losing the 1st game against them, and go all out.

Unless you're Russian how can anyone cheer against Finland? They are so loveable!

Nice to meet the Russian team again, this time in the Finals. Our boys are hungry for revenge. Russia has shown amazing ability to win games this tournament. They manage to squeeze out a win even when it looks like they don't have what it takes. Great team effort so far.

Finland is starting to play like a team and we still have a lot of individual offensive talent.

Going to be a nail biter. In a way, the positions have been reversed. Russia playing like underdog team. Not backing down and just grinding out win after win. Sounds more like Finland that Russia. Finns on the other hand, relying in individual talent, shady defense (outside of last game) and crazy offense. Sounds more like Russia to me.

Here's to a good and exciting game! I'm obviously cheering for Finland, but I really like the fact that we face our neighbors from the East side. Good luck Russians!

As long as the Game is officiated fairly (which almost never happens lol), I just hope for a clean game and great action from the Two Best Countries this Year.

This is the first Russian team (Junior or Senior Level) I have seen that actually looks like their playing to max potential and poise in a very long time.

Looks like Russia is starting to get with the program and have better scouting and training regiments now. The flow of this team is excellent - speed + passing and defense + goaltending all look pretty solid.

I wonder how many players on these two teams played in the (U15 - Hockey) 2012 Youth Winter Olympics that team Finland won Gold over Russia (in a shootout I think?)

These two teams will also play against each other in the round robin at the NHL World Cup in Toronto (September).

I think Finland will win this game pretty convincingly. Russia won their "gold medal" match against the US. I predict Russia will come out very flat after an emotional victory over the US.

Predicting 4-1 FIN.

I'm heading to the games today. Great to see Finland there. Although, I was hoping to see Marner play as well.

You have tickets for both games? That's nice. Going to be awesome atmosphere there. Wonder how much Canadian spectators show up in the gold game.

Finland with the better offense. Russia with slightly better D and goaltending. How often can you say that? lol

Beating any team twice in this tourney is difficult.

4-2 Finland

I've always cheered for Finland unless they're playing Canada and I'm not even sure why but it's a habit I've never broken.

Should be a great game.

Lippu.fi sold one ticket for both games. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

My prediction is

Finland and Sweden for wins.
