I do have my doubts about Zach....but bashing him after that 1st goal was downright insane. Was a huge shot at close range than touched the inside post. Not even sure if he saw it. But he does look shaky.

I'm interested to see how the NHL loaned guys (Lazar, Duclair) perform once they get back to their NHL club. They'll have a lesser role, but their confidence will be sky high after playing key roles on Team Canada.

World Junior hockey and NHL hockey are drastically different.


Even Lazar said so himself, thats why he played so poorly his first couple of games to adjust back.

Was he coach in Red Deer/Calgary? If so the decision to pull vasy and start Makarov in the GMG was gutsy and it worked. He was outstanding

Well it's always the goalie's fault because.....it usually is. Those kids are kids and that freakin position make those guys be more nervous that leads to stupid and incredibly weak goal against. That 1st one wasn't one of them.

I honestly have a hard time believing that Petan will be a good NHLer. Those defensive zone miscues made me sick to my stomach.

I kind of agree. He is very slick in the offensive zone, but he looks tiny and kind of meek when he is fighting for the puck. I know he is young, but he is never going to be a big guy.

Hicketts and Bowey look awful out there. Morrissey looks like the only solid defender right now, with Nurse and Theodore both trying to jump up too much.

Petan looks nervous every time he touches the puck tonight. Before tonight I was thinking he had been one of the most consistently smart players on the team. McDavid has been great though.
