High quality hockey after 20. Russians playing with a lot of heart. Have my respect.

Canada playing our game, heart, skill, and grit.

Both teams are going for it. 2 best teams in the tournament made it to the dance. A worthy winner will be crowned tonight.

Respect to Canada from a Russian fan. You guys are extremely tough. But I hope Russia can make this game even more interesting.

It saddens me that most of the world will never see the glory and insanity that is this tournament. That period was just nuts!

Fantastic start but now Canada needs to calm down, play their positions and not be running around. Some sloppy passing and puck handling on both ends.

so, does Canada pull a classic...well...Canada. Come out booming in the first 20-30 minutes and then get utterly shocked by the Russians who seem to always play a full 60?

Can someone who's been able to watch the entire tournament tell this concerned Caps fan: Has Bowey looked this bad the whole tournament? I don't think any Caps fans were expecting him to leap into the NHL in the next couple of years, but yeah. He's the best young non-professional defensive prospect we've got. And...he's not really impressing?

He hasn't been great but it doesn't really mean much to be honest. Don't get too caught up on how prospects look in the WJC.

You have to give it to Bragin. The goalie change was the right move, although Shestyorkin had no chance to save in both goals.

Groulx is putting out the gauthier line way too much. They were good at the start but they have been giving up more chances then any other line.

The tone of the 2nd period will decide this game, if Canada sits back like they did after the good start Russia will win.

Virtanen is a BEAST physically, but his offensive game just isnt there. i was hoping he would be a huge factor in this tourny offensively.

Bob Mckenzie just said he was really impressed with Virtanen's line they spent most of their time in the offensive zone, and got some chances.

Mission accomplished.

That Gauthier line is concerning simply for their back checking speed.
