Also in the men's ceremony the carpet had been rolled for the bronze team, so even if they were entitled to not to attend still it provided bad visuals to do so.

It sounds like the men who win bronze don’t normally appear, is it possible the rink crew just assumed it was the same as the women?

Hey, Russia didn't show up for Bronze in 2002 even though the carpet had been CLEARLY laid out.

Now go enjoy your hollow gold.
Russia did not win Bronze in 2010 or 2014, however here is those ceremonies with the carpet laid out for Finland who won Bronze those years and they did not show up.

The men's hockey tournament bronze medalists receive their medals after the Bronze Medal Game.

The women's hockey tournament bronze medalists receive their medals alongside the gold and silver medalists.

It should also be noted that the Women's Gold Medal game and Bronze Medal game are played on the same day.

The Bronze Medal game for the Men happens one day before the Gold Medal game.

I can safely assume that's the reason for the differences when the Bronze Medal is given out.

The funny thing is I’m sure the men were thrilled to win Bronze, they weren’t expected to medal.

A thread made with one goal in mind, to try and make Canada look bad and as expected the usual suspects show up to try to take jabs at them.

So glad they were made to look silly, completely wrong and childish here.

Nice job O.P!! Any other threads you want to start?
