If you watch the medal ceremony from 2010 and 2014 they did the exact same setup. However no one said anything about Finland having to be there since they won the Bronze those years.
Hey, Russia didn't show up for Bronze in 2002 even though the carpet had been CLEARLY laid out.
Now go enjoy your hollow gold.

Russia did not win Bronze in 2010 or 2014, however here is those ceremonies with the carpet laid out for Finland who won Bronze those years and they did not show up.
Classic case of Russian revisionist history. Too much doping makes the brain go numb.

They were awarded the bronze after the Bronze Medal Game.
Team Canada received their bronze medals after their Bronze Medal Game yesterday.
The men's hockey tournament bronze medalists receive their medals after the Bronze Medal Game.
The women's hockey tournament bronze medalists receive their medals alongside the gold and silver medalists.

It should also be noted that the Women's Gold Medal game and Bronze Medal game are played on the same day.
The Bronze Medal game for the Men happens one day before the Gold Medal game.
I can safely assume that's the reason for the differences when the Bronze Medal is given out.

Incorrect. Bronze medal game was on Wednesday. Gold medal game was Thursday.
