It took a little extra time to get this story written, but good things come to those who wait...

Frozen Royalty’s traditional one-on-one draft interviews with Los Angeles Kings Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Yanetti have paid off again this year. He went into A LOT of detail about the Kings’ second overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, center Quinton Byfield of the Sudbury Wolves (OHL), and a bit more about what else the Kings were trying to do in the first round.

Read all about it at...

Great read! Anytime Mark Yannetti has something to say, you know its going to be good! Great job!

He is THE source for information related to the Kings and the draft. Even moreso than whomever the general manager is because he's much closer to it. That's a big reason why I built a relationship with him over the years. It's really cool, actually. This year, out of the blue, he texted me, asking, "So when are we talking?" lol

That's rad. I love that Mark seems to understand that while you can't let fans sway a decision, you still need to bring them along, especially during the lean years before contending again.
