Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I doubt it too but I was just wondering because people have been bringing it up and idk if slats is willing to take a goalie with our first pick in the draft next year. However its about damn time that we did that because you never know what might happen to the king

Never draft a kicker in the first round. Never draft a goalie in the first round.
If Sather ever wasted a 1st rounder on a goalie i would scream. If anything happens to Hank, i'm sure Sather will do something

Well what are the odds of us drafting another all star goalie in the 7th round. And skapski isn't exactly looking like a starter anytime soon. Im not arguing Im just saying it wouldn't necessarily hurt to draft a goalie 2nd or 3rd round who is fairly successful in his respective league

Blackburn had a freak injury that ruined his career.. he had the potential to be a solid starter in the nhl.. i cant believe he is 30 already.. imagine what could have been if he was able to stay healthy

Clear lack of a legit AHL starter/#3 goalie in the system. Missiaen is getting kiled in the AHL, Stajcer is raw and unproven and quite AHL material

LaBarbera cleared waivers a couple of days ago. Probably could be had for a song at this point (although maybe not Asham, since he would continue to cost money on the cap for Edmonton).
I agree with you--but how many goalies are out there who are available, have enough of a skill set to fill-in if necessary, but can be stashed in the AHL, just in case?
The organization does need to pay more attention to the situation in the AHL--it really appears that they need to upgrade the position, both short-term and going foward past this season.

Because we finally have a backup who can spell Henrik without having a disastrous outing. Honestly, I have full faith in Prince Cam. His numbers so far are downright dirty.

I wouldn't mind moving a retread like Asham for a 3rd string goalie who can step in in a pinch in case of (God forbid) injury.
