What are the options for Dallas? It seems Jim Nill wants to talk himself out of an impact forward because he feels he is amazing at drafting. So no top prospects or 1st is apparently on the table. I disagree and feel the first should be on the table. What else is out there and what is the cost?

Methot is on LTIR

Nill says he won't give up his 1st for a rental. If a trade is made, Hanzal will go on LTIR as well.

Kreider could be available, but if anyone aside from Benn, Seguin, Klingberg and Heiskanen is off the table, I don’t see a deal to be made.

It’s getting to the point where I don’t want to watch them anymore. I’m tired of saying that Nill needs to do his job and get a top 6 scorer. Than I read reports of what he won’t give up. It’s as if he cares more about drafting and development than winning and he sucks at drafting. I know it will cost but Panarin or duchene or Stone are the types to go after. This team could be real dangerous with one of those three.

Yes, that’s why I said if anyone aside from those guys is off the table, then I don’t see a deal to be made.

Those 4 understandably are off limits, I wouldn’t trade any of them for Kreider if I was Nill. However, everyone else should be available.

I would rather pay that for Nyquist or someone else. Toffoli is not having a great year. I personally would not trade a 1st for him as he does not help solve Dallas’ issue. I hear Mike Hoffman is available. I would take him.

How is that great? Seguin was a great deal. That’s about it. It has not translated into anything because he sucks at drafting and his development style sucks as well.

Dzingel seems like a really good fit. I know we've been linked to Hintz and Honka in the past (Karlsson trade talk). Could see one of them being the prospect. Probably add a 2nd or a couple 3rds and you got Dzingel.

Most of us would hate to move Hintz, especially for someone like Dzingel. We definitely wouldn’t be adding a pick there.

Honka is pretty garbage with us, so I’d happily add a 2nd+3rd to him for that deal.

Thinking we move Janmark, draft pick, B prospect for the best forward we can get, the draft pick/prospect depends on which player is coming back. Lots of good options this year so I hope we make a move.

Kovalchuk trade incoming. His value is not very high and that scary 3 year contract isn't a problem for Nill because he could be out of a job by then.

Moving Hintz for Dzingel is not worth it. Picks for Dzingle maybe but Hintz has too much value for a rental that not a difference maker level player

I’d take Toffoli nine times out of 10 before Nyquist, I just don’t see the appeal there at all. I also do like Eberle if NYI would sell.
