Incoming brain dead Petey takes.

Yes he’s been hot trash the last couple months. The guy is still on pace for 90 points while f***ing around doing jack shit. Gotta relax with the brain dead takes here.
Brain dead Petey take #1

Do points like the one he had today really mean anything.

Meanwhile guys like Garland and Joshua bust their ass every night even though it doesn’t always show up on the scoreboard.

Petey is complete shit right now. He’s paid to be the best forward on the team. He’s nowhere near it. End of story.

Silovs was awesome. I'd like to see him get another start against a better opponent, feeling more confident in him than DeSmith tbh. He's bigger, handles rebounds better, & more composed overall. Making his case to be the backup next year.

Huggy was phenomenal, as he's been all year. When they need a push he's always giving 110%. So so special. Anyone thinking Josi or whomever were seriously threatening Hughes this season need to think again.

Garland & Joshua were great. I thought Pettersson line was quite good for alot of the first 40. Pettersson was having a good game then towards the back half there were some bad moments. Just doesn't have confidence right now & he's sulking alot, don't love to see that.

He just got a 100 million dollar + Canadian dollar contract to play hockey. He doesn’t get months off any more without criticism.

Don’t want the criticism don’t ask for the pay cheque. It’s simple. He wants to be the man now own the role.
Actually his contract doesn’t kick in until next year. He is exceeding his contract value right now considering what he makes.

So save your BS till next year when the contract actually kicks in

Seems like first in the West is likely out of the picture now, though who knows what could happen. Should be able to keep first in the Division, though that game against Edmonton will be huge.

Not sure who is the best matchup in the first round: Kings are boring and we have struggled against their boringness at times; Vegas seems to have our number; Nashville has been on fire until lately - they are probably the best bet.

The better team won. it was a bit of a challenge, but WTF.

Compared to what we thought before the season started, this is all gravy.

But there are not going to be any gimmies in the playoffs, this is going to be a battle.

I will take LA or Nashville all day over Vegas. Also want Vegas-Oilers in the first round because it would be hilarious.

I think Nashville is our best bet - dont like our chances against Vegas at all and LA is a coin toss imo

I know Tocchet will likely come back with DeSmith Saturday in L.A......but you could make strong case for Silovs to start a majority of the final six games. He saved the Canucks bacon in the third period of this game, as their energy-level dipped and they spent time on the PK.

And what can you say about Quinn Hughes?.....when he puts his mind to it in the offensive zone, he's virtually unstoppable. I have no idea if he wins the Norris. But there isn't d-man in the league who has a greater impact on his team than Hughes.

Becoming more and more convinced that Pettersson is trying to play through something. It's probably the worst he's looked in a Vancouver uniform, even going back to his rookie season.

Silvos has been nothing but unbelievable these last two
Games . He is ready to be Demko’s #2 next season .

UPL on Buffalo’s stats in the AHL were horrendous but stats don’t tell the full story.

What matters is Silvos is rising to the occasion and really made some enormous saves these last two games and came up huge again tonight.

I am not saying he will be UPL because this is Demko’s house. But do I feel he can be a solid backup that can play 30 games a year and be a solid starter if Demko gets injured ????

100% he can do that next season

I'd take rookie season EP over this one. At least rookie season EP played with confidence at a lower point output.

Hot trash the last couple months doesn't exactly tell me he's going to suddenly flip a switch when it counts. It just tells me he built a nice comfy point lead in the first half of the season, just like the team itself, and is now coasting.

Petey's body language is just so horrible, it's like he doesn't even want to be out there anymore. I understand frustration and disappointment, but what he's showing out there doesn't look like it, kind of sad.

I wonder if we should stick him between Garland and Joshua, hope their work ethic and hassle will rub off on him. If nothing else at least it will force him to move his damn feet to keep up with them, I hope.

With tonight's win, we are the league #1 in RWs and 2nd in ROWs. It's a long season and the boys are hangin in there.
