This game so far offers almost a classic example of why this Canucks team will be headed home early.

They've totally dominated this game.....but are behind 2-1 on the eighth Ranger shot of the game. Their forward group just simply isn't nearly good enough, and now they down both EP40 and Hoglander.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the merciful end to this season.

The thing that hurts most is we have no blue chip c prospects. Just ridiculous not even to have one with how bad we have been for the last 10 + years

Yes but to be fair, at the start of this season we all thought our top 6 centres were set for the next 6 years. Drafting D has been the bigger priority and our D is currently in great shape for the foreseeable future - the core will still be in good shape even if Hughes leaves, particularly if EP2 can take a step and if Mynio or Kudryatsev can contribute.

The priority at the draft has to be play-driving centres now.

We need to 100% take a run at Marner. Hughes and the team needs another guy upfront who can hold onto the puck and make plays.

Trade Demko/Chytil/one of Joshua/Hoglander, and Blueger, clear as much cap as you can and get Marner and a top 6 C.
